What's a career worth anyway?

As most of you know, I'm applying for a position within my company. It's a great job and could open a lot of doors to bigger and better things. Here's the rub.

My life in NJ has been freaking awesome for the past month. I've been meeting a lot of great people. Things with my current job are starting to take more traction. You wouldn't think in the space of a year you would become so attached to an area. I have some pretty close friendships right now with people that would be severed. The same thing happened in college but we had no choice. At the end, everyone had to leave. I have a choice.

Do I want to constantly be moving? With this position I would have to move to Columbus. Two years later I would have to move somewhere within KY, OH or MI. However, there's the possibility that I would have to move to IN, IL, IA, MN or WI. So then I set up shop there for 2-5 years and I'd probably have to move again. That sucks.
