Ohio/NJ leg of the trip

Most of you know about what I did in Ohio, but here you go anyhow.

I left John C and headed for Angie's. Why Angie's? Because I missed her house the last few times out and she has more kids so it's more efficient. If you don't like that just have more children. We played in the house for a while and then headed outside to light up some fireworks. Caryn and Kent weren't too happy about that the next night, but I didn't want to wait to do them the next night because I was planning on hitting the road. Maybe next time?

The kids thought Bill and I looked like Harry Potter firing off roman candles. I didn't feel like getting in a duel with Bill though. My repel spells aren't working too well these days. Later that night Will and I stayed up until past 2 in the morning playing TMNT on his playstation 2. He has made some definite improvement since I last played PS2 with him. It was kind of cool staying up and figuring out how to take on bad guys with him.

Next morning I went to church with Angie and Janine. From there we headed off to the Barn. Will, Weslea and Wyatt road with me there and Caryn and Kent road on the way back. Yeah.

At Janine's we had some fun. We jumped around on the trampoline for way longer than we should have. Kent and I caught frogs. Later we went to the back of their property and found a secret hideout. I got an axe from the garage and tried to clear something resembling a path to it.

Kent is really good and climbing trees. He kept using dead branches though so knocked down a bunch of them so he wouldn't get in trouble in the future. It keeps him from going as high, which I don't think he likes, but at least he has less of a chance of falling on his head. It was freaky watching him climb trees though. I know I was doing the same stuff at his age, but it's just different when you watching in stead of doing.

After bible study at Angie's, I hit the road to get back to NJ. I was only three hours into the drive and I couldn't stay in my lane or keep my eyes open. I decided to stop at the next rest area and get some shut eye. I woke up after sleeping there for 3 hours and hit the road again. I think I'm going to utilize rest areas more in the future if I'm driving at night. No reason not to.

The next morning we went into the city with Maw and Paw. We hit up the MET which was OK. They had a lot of it shut down because of inadaquate security. Other parts just weren't up and running like the mirror pool in the big Egyptian room. It took a lot of the "wow" effect of walking in the room away. I'll have to check out the Natural History Museum next.
