If we want to wear jeans to work, we normally have to pay money. This money normally goes to a department fund that is used to buy children presents and stuff around Christmas. Today someone not of my department came around trying to raise funds for March of Dimes. First complaint- why dimes? Are they FDR lovers?
One thing I do whenever some charity person tries to get me to give to some foundation, I always ask them what this supports. They say, "this supports [fill in the blank]." I then respond, "I don't care about people with [fill in the blank]." Without fail they all look at me like i simultaneously kicked a puppy, punched Shirley Temple and burnt the American flag right in front of them.
So I fork over the $5 and they give me the bracelet. On the bracelet it says "I care about babies" or something rediculous like that. So I respond, "I care about babies? I don't care care about babies!"
It slipped my mind that I work in a department made up entirely of women and that women have no sense of humor. A collective "gasp!?!" went across the department. At this point I felt the need to prove my love of children and busted out pictures of nieces and nephews.

You are such a jerk sometimes Jon!!! I hope that the people at your work don't think all Roths are just like you.
By the way, quit using pictures of our children to overcome your jerkiness.
(I still love ya though!) :)
John- if you work in a department of ladies, you are just giving to their donut fund. Duhhh!
Mom,
Some things I can't do. I need at least a little integrity.
