So I'm thinking about this new apartment and I'll the stuff I'll need to buy once I get there. I want to get a new queen bed, but I'm new to the bedding market. Any tips? Sweatie Pie, I'm expecting at least a few perv comments from you.
For the actual bed, my main advice is don't go cheap-o on the mattress that you buy. I bought my mattress for $1,200 when I was in college (15 years ago) and we are still using it. We'll probably be using it 20 years from now too! Think VERY long term and you'll be doing yourself (and your future wifey) a huge favor.
I just checked out your links Drew -- your choices are awesome! When you decide to buy your bedding, maybe your sisters can make a shopping visit to Columbus to help you out Jon?! :)
I really like the first set that Andrea posted...you had better buy it before it sells out! I agree with Angie on the mattress. Even though we didn't spend as much as she did, a couple hundred dollars makes a big difference. Also, we bought a featherbed at Marshalls for $40, and on top of a somewhat firm mattress, it makes the bed SO comfortable.

How about these. They may be a little boring? They seem guyish, though.

Actually I changed my mind. The best mattress is one that is at another persons apartment. spend your money wisely and you will not need a mattress.
Just to clarify - the last comment from "me" was obviously from Sweatie Pie. Please ignore!
