hello reality

I don't think I really appreciated how expensive it would be to live on my own. I'm going to have to spend a couple thousand just getting it from "is barren" stage to the "looks barren" stage. I'm leaking money like a sieve.

At one point I thought spending 1k on a couch was pretty huge. Then I searched for some countertop chairs so I could actually sit and eat in the new place. The cheapest I could find was 85 each and the ones I liked are 135 each. This is ridiculous. I can forget about a dirt bike for a while.

Yeah, it's a load of fun, isn't it? That is why we have garage sale tables in our living room still. =)

Just remember, you don't have to buy everything right away. They call it a bachelor pad for a reason...

Keep it plain looking so you can find a girl just aching to pretty it up!

And that's why we still don't have a lot of our furniture ~ it truly is an investment. Whatever you buy...make sure you like it a lot. You'll probably be using it for a loooooong time if you're like the rest of us!
